The hopeful humming is still there but its contrasted against the creaking wood of the ship. Its like a dark tense moment of the pilgrims journey. This is a clever reuse of the humming from The Pilgrim. It is a perfect background sound for studying a new subject. Studying in school can be so hard especially with talking and chattering about this soundscape is perfect for staying focused and calm. I have to study for hours at a time - and this is my favorite soundscape by far. Reminds me of a bit of the dwarfs humming in the hobbit movie, mixed with a creepy ship haha. I really enjoy this one, I can listen to it for hours without getting tired of it. I have listened to it many times now from when it was created. I love that this one was added to the main page, it sets a unique mood with help from the description. here's me slaving at my desk job like a slave at the oars of the Flying Dutchman, and the old guy who's been here years is like that guy from the third (?) movie, forming part of the ship - part of the crew, part of the ship! Honestly though, this is great. We've been thrown off course by a storm that's just beginning to wane and we are coming up on a small island - the sirens beckon us ashore, and the sailors chant to drown out their deadly calls. This soundscape combined with Mermaids Calling and Distant Thunder immediately puts me on a ship in the 1800s. I imagine I am in a viking ship sailing at night in a rough sea, praying the gods for a safe trip. I love to play it together with some eerie soundtrack. It makes the absolute best storm sound ever, it's incredible.Ĭaptures the atmosphere I want to write to. Okay hear me out, 2 tabs of this on Storm at Sea preset combined with the Tin Roof Rain with the bass sliders turned up a bit. I love this soundscape! It's so relaxing and peaceful it really helps me focus. I'm caught between being soothed to sleep by her long rocking motions and staying awake so that I may be alert when night watch inevitably calls all hands on deck. I can feel it now, the pressure of a looming storm roiling ever-closer to The Bounty with each passing minute as I lay motionless in my hammock. I like this one, it has a very well defined 'sailing across the ocean' feel! I'm taking a swim and am stupidly not paying attention to what I'm doing, just staying afloat and humming. It's good both for flow-state work and sleeping. I absolutely love this one! I think of it as a pirate's lullaby.
